Environmental Policy and Action Plan

Bez předsudků z. s. is a cultural and educational association committed to environmental protection and sustainable development. Our goal is to minimize the ecological impact of our activities and promote sustainability in cultural production, education, and our other activities. We recognize that climate change and environmental crisis are global problems requiring immediate action at all levels, including our work environment.

Our organization operates on a flexible basis, with a team consisting of volunteers, freelancers, and experts. Although our workers have various commitments and time availability, all have access to information about our environmental goals and can participate in achieving them. As does the general public, who have access to the plan from our website.

• Waste minimization: In our projects, we focus on waste minimization and recycling support. We operate fully remotely, except for physical events, we don’t print, we don’t waste.
• Efficient resource use: We strive for efficient use of energy, water, and other natural resources in case of physical events.
• Sustainable mobility support: We support the use of public transport and green mobility options (e.g., shared bicycles, cars, scooters, electric cars).
• Responsible purchasing: When selecting materials and products, we prefer ecological and sustainable options when possible at the given place and time.

When selecting technologies for our work, we prefer tools with low environmental impact (e.g., cloud solutions with low carbon footprint).

We plan project budgets with environmental requirements in mind, including purchasing ecological materials, using renewable energy sources, or decisions about necessary meetings to achieve goals.

We regularly organize workshops and training for team members focusing on environmental issues, sustainability, and climate change.

In our educational projects, we include environmental protection and climate change topics so our participants learn about these issues. We reflect these themes in both courses and school screenings.

All policies and action steps related to our environmental policy will be publicly available to our members, colleagues, and the general public.

Support and open channels for discussion about environmental challenges and improvement suggestions will be available. Any member or project collaborator can raise questions, requests, or improvement suggestions.

• All internal meetings will be held online, unless it’s a meeting for reasons other than project-related, such as team building.
• Waste goal: Ensure that 50% of all waste from physical events will be recycled and minimized by 2026.
• Education and training: Conduct at least 1 internal sustainability training for all team members each year.
• Indicator for environmental impacts: Each project will have measures implemented to monitor and reduce environmental impacts according to internal settings and project nature.
• Goal: at least one organized educational activity per year promoting global climate change.

Each year, environmental policy will be reviewed based on team feedback and progress measurement results. We ensure that each year the action plan will be updated with new goals and improvement measures.
