Fighting Violence Against Children and Ensuring Child Protection

This document complies with Keeping Children Safe – Child Safeguarding Standards and covers four areas: Policy, People, Accountability, Procedures.

1.1 Purpose

The aim is to ensure a safe environment for children (persons under 18) in all activities of Bez předsudků, z. s. and to establish binding rules for prevention, reporting, and resolution of risks of abuse, neglect, exploitation, and harm.

1.2 Scope

This policy is binding for all persons acting on behalf of the Organization:

• full-time/part-time employees and contractors
• volunteers
• interns/trainees
• external suppliers and partners

1.3 Basic Principles

• The best interest of the child is the priority of all decisions
• Zero tolerance for violence, abuse, and retaliation against whistleblowers
• Proportionality and prevention – we anticipate, minimize, and record risks
• Dignity, privacy, and GDPR – we protect children’s personal data according to applicable regulations

2.1 Management and Supervision

3.1 Recruitment and Screening

Applies to employees, volunteers, and interns with contact with children:

• mandatory self-declaration of integrity and compliance with CPP
• Criminal Record Extract (not older than 3 months)
• role risk assessment

3.3 Training

• Initial training: no later than 30 days from start (2–3 hours)
• Annual refresh: min. 2 hours
• Specialized training: for CSL, event leaders

4.1 General Interaction Rules

• Two adults rule: 1:1 contact with a child (including online) is prohibited
• Physical contact: only appropriate, initiated by child, or necessary for health protection
• Gifts and benefits: individual gifts, loans, or contact exchanges unacceptable

4.4 Photos, Audio and Video

• Recording and publication only with documented consent
• We prefer group shots, without name tags
• Prohibition of geotagging at sensitive locations
